In the summer of 2022, the U.S. saw its first cases of the mpox virus. Mpox is not new, but until now, outbreaks have only happened overseas. The virus has since begun spreading across the country.
In the U.S., cases of the mpox virus have been seen mostly among men who have sex with men. But it can spread to anyone, no matter your age, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
